What is iGEMulate?
iGEMulate engages the McMaster community in a mock synthetic biology competition, inspired by the international iGEM program. Students build skills in problem solving, critical thinking, and communication.
Teams address challenges across climate, agriculture, oncology, and AI-in-STEM with innovative synbio approaches. Judging is led by McMaster’s award-winning iGEM team, visiting teams, industry guests, and university staff—offering constructive feedback on both science and communication.
